Tuition and lessons

For an appointment you can register online as new rider. Here you get acces to the customer portal and online agenda. In the agenda you can reserve the time slot that suits you best or you first (taster) lesson. Of course you can aso give us a call or come to the riding centre in person. Make sure you register a quarter of an hour before the start of the lesson in the reception area/cafeteria.

There is no need to buy riding clothes, boots and riding hat. Boots and a riding hat may be rent for a small fee with us. Your own sturdy boots are also possible as long as they have strong soles and low, but distinct heels up to two centimeters. The soles may not have too much of a profile in order to prevent sticking to the stirrups. Comfortable, preferably elasticized, tight fitted trousers or jeans are advised. Long or shoulder length hair should be worn in a ponytail or plait for safety reasons.

When you have acquired a taste for riding, you are advised to buy your own apparel. It’s not only safer to use special horse riding clothes; it’s also more fun because it’s more comfortable in wearing. The basic outfit consists of:

-Riding hat
-Riding boots or jodhpurs and chaps
-Riding breeches
-Gloves
-Small whip
-Body protector (recommended, not mandatory)
-Long hair should be in a knot or braid or in a no-knot hairnet.

Long dangling jewellery or scarves are dangerous, because they can get stuck behind objects. Do not ride with your jacket or cardigan unzipped, as your horse may get frightened by flapping parts, and it makes the combination look untidy. Chewing gum or sweets are tricky, too. They may get stuck in your throat or windpipe when you make a sudden move.
