Trimester cards
Below are the conditions regarding our trimester cards.
The trimester cards are valid for 3 months:
- 1st trimester from 1 January to 31 March
- 2nd trimester from 1 April to 30 June
- 3rd trimester from 1 July to 30 September
- 4th trimester from 1 October to 31 December
Rules of conduct
Hallinckveld house rules
For security and safety reasons we ask our clients to adhere to the following house rules in our riding centre to help reduce risks. We thank you for your cooperation in advance.
- Previous to your first visit to our riding centre you are requested to check in with your instructor or in the cafeteria/reception area.
- On the premises you are requested to drive slowly at a maximum of 5 kms per hour. Children and pets must be safe.
- On the premises and in the yards please do not shout, but behave yourselves.
- Lessons should be paid for at the bar in the cafeteria prior to riding.
- During lessons and other riding activities there should be a quiet atmosphere in and around the arenas.
- Only those who have explicit permission to enter to the arena and instructors are allowed in without a horse during lessons and other riding activities.
- No one is allowed to meddle with goings on during lessons except for the instructors and the riders participating in the lessons.
- Smoking is prohibited all over the riding centre. So it is not permitted anywhere near the stables, in the corridors, in the arenas and when riding.
- All the arena rules and the rules for hacks must be obeyed.
- Riding after alcohol consumption is not permitted.
- The corridors in the stables have to be free of clutter. Wheelbarrows, buckets, fodder, harnesses should be elsewhere in their proper places.
- Horses and ponies should not be groomed in the corridors.
- Directions and instructions of the owners, the manager and the instructors must be obeyed.
- Feeding the horses and ponies (sweets, carrots etc.) is not allowed. Permission of the staff or the owner should be asked for.
- No dogs allowed on the premises because of the owners’ guard dogs.
- Livery horses can be ridden by others than the owners provided that the riders have a Hallinckveld trimester card.
- Prams are not allowed in the corridors or the arenas.
- Anyone entering the premises does so at their own risk.
- The owner or the instructors decide in any case not provided for by these house rules.
- The trimester subscription card is strictly personal and cannot be transferred to others.
- The trimester subscription card is valid through one trimester only and contains 13 lessons. The lessons for catching up can only be rescheduled within the current trimester. On the computerscreen with the lessonschedule can be seen how many lessons there are still on the card and via the app under lessonshistorie. Catching up can only take place in the current trimester and the unclaimed lessons at the end of the trimester are no longer valid in another trimester.
- Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hrs’ notice will be charged in full, registered as ridden and cannot be rescheduled, whatever the reason.
- All other cancelled lessons and classes that cannot be ridden because of holidays etc. may be rescheduled within the current trimester, provided that a place and a horse are available.
- The subscriber holds responsibility for rescheduling missed classes
- Only riders with a trimester subscription card may claim a regular place in a group lesson.
- Children aged 6 to 13 may ride in group lessons for the reduced trimestercard price, €22,-. From 14 till 17 years a teenagers fares will be valid, €23,-. From 18 years onward the adult fares will be valid, €24,-
- When the trimester subscription card is paid for the 1th of the trimester or when you decide to pay by direct debit, you will receive a discount on your card.
- The full amount will be debited from your bank account in three monthly instalments.
- If there is not enough money for direct debit in your account and payments have not been effectuated before the 15th of the month, an invoice added with € 12,50 for administration will be sent to you.
- No invoices are sent for the subscription cards. If you express a definite wish for an invoice you will be sent one and charged an extra € 5,- for administration.
- Giving notice is possible in writing as early as the first day of the month previous to the third month of the trimester. Early cancelling is possible without restitution of money paid for subscription cards. Membership of KNHS has to be cancelled separately.
- Single lessons are exclusively meant for those who start lessons during a trimester, or riders who can only come once in a while and for private lessons.
- A trimester card is valid for 13 lessons. In case of protracted illness or injuries missed lessons may be transferred to the following trimester by mutual arrangement.
- Contests, hacks and pony grooming days are not included in the card lessons and have to be paid for separately.
Arena rules
Just like in traffic there is a set of rules that apply in the riding centre’s arenas.
- Directions and instructions of the owners, the instructors and other staff must be obeyed at all times.
- While riding all riders have to wear well-fitting riding hats with a chin strap fastened at all times. These riding hats must bear CE mark and EN-1384 quality symbol.
- Footwear for riding are riding boots, jodhpurs or leather-soled walking shoes which fasten at the front and have clear heels up to 2 cms, combined with chaps.
- The boots or shoes have to fit loosely in the stirrups. Trainers, sandals, chappals are not permitted.
- Clothes should be well-fitting. Nothing should be flapping or loosely draped. Zips and buttons must be securely fastened. Shorts and long jewellery, especially earrings, necklaces and bracelets are not permitted.
- If you intend to leave the arena, you have to announce this loudly by shouting ‘Deur vrij?!’ (= Door free?)
- Mounting and unmounting should take place on the AC-line in an orderly way.
- The rider and horse riding on the left lead have right of way when passing another rider on track.
- The rider and horse riding a faster gait or riding on a side lead have right of way.
- Allow ample space when passing another rider and horse.
- Jumping across an obstacle should be announced whenever there are other riders present in the arena, by saying ‘Sprong vrij?’, which means stay clear from the obstacle.
- No smoking allowed anywhere on the premises. Only at the smokingpot on the parkinglot.
- Only Hallinckveld staff are allowed to give instruction and directions.
- During or immediately after riding all dung should be removed from the arena.
- All materials used for show jumping and training should be removed from the arena as soon as possible after riding.
Livery rules and regulations
In order to sustain the quality of life and fun at Riding Centre Hallinckveld the following house rules should be adhered to. These rules are well considered and form an addition to the rules that apply in the arenas and the yards. If you have any questions about the rules or if you need clarification, please do not hesitate to contact Thea or Hellen.
The Yard
- You enter the yard and the stables at your own risk.
- We accept no responsibility for any accidents, the loss or damage to privately owned tack or personal effects.
- If you notice any damage, please notify a member of staff straight away.
- The area around the house and the house itself are private property. So please do not trespass.
- Smoking is prohibited on the premises, in the yard and the stables. There are assigned areas for smokers near the ashtray on the parkinglot.
- Parking is allowed in the car park only. You cannot park your car on the path next to the indoor arena. Parking on the public highway can be done across the road.
- Take your rubbish and plastic bags home with you. The rubbish bins near the house are for private use.
- In case of emergency we are always available. Please do not disturb when we are having a break at home and on Sundays.
- No dogs allowed on the premises.
- Clean out your horse’s dung straight away.
- It is forbidden to wear unsafe footwear, such as chappals, sandals, pumps or slippers when approaching a pony or horse.
- Riding Centre Hallinckveld is happy to make children feel welcome, but they have to follow the rules in order to secure a safe environment for both two-legged and four-legged beings. Parents are kindly requested to survey and control their offspring, and must not allow them to run around unsupervised to ensure their safety and that of others. Running and racing each other in the stables is strictly prohibited.
HORSE
- Each horse needs to have a registered chip and its passport has to be handed in to the owner of the riding centre, who will keep it safe.
- The client who rents livery is obliged to have a liability insurance for his or her horses.
- Damage caused by a horse or negligence or carelessness of the owner of the horse has to be paid for by the client.
- Damaged caused by others related to the owner of the horse must be paid for by the client.
- Your pony or horse needs sufficient movement and activities to stay fit. Please let us know if you have not got the time or the opportunity to train your horse, so that we can discuss a solution.
- Negligence of any nature is a reason to remove you and the horse from the premises.
- If you notice any change in behaviour in your pony or horse, please tell us immediately.
- In case of emergency we will send for the veterinarian surgeon, without contacting the horse’s owner. Any charges involved should be paid for by the owner of the horse.
- You are supposed to put blankets on your horse and remove them yourself.
- After grooming and riding all tack should be placed in the appropriate cupboards and places.
- The washing and grooming areas should be swept clean after use.
- You’re not allowed to give extra straw or hay to your horse. Ask for advice first.
- Without the consent of the management you cannot hang any apparel or decorations in the box or on the door.
- Any tools you used for cleaning or tidying the yard or the stables should be put back in the appropriate places.
- Please notify the staff when you take out your horse for external contests or lessons.
- Other riders than the owner of the livery horse should have a trimester lesson card at Hallinckveld.
RENTAL FEES
- Rental fees have to be paid prior to the first day of the month concerned on the bank account of Manege Hallinckveld: account number (IBAN) NL RABO 0336 9591 76
- If either party wants to terminate the contract, due notice should be given one month before the calendar month concerned.
ARENAS
- The arenas must always be mucked out.
- Show some consideration for other riders when riding in the arena. Try to ride in the same direction on the track.
- Do not loosen the horses so that they can roll over in the arenas. Use the circles for this.
- The fastest gait has right of way; so do not walk your horse on the track.
- Pass another rider by on the left lead; left lead has right of way.
- In passing by do not cut the other rider off, but give them some space.
- After using the arena please clear away whips, obstacles and other materials.
- Walking an unmounted horse is only permitted as a means of revalidation and can only be done after mutual consent of the other riders in the arena. So no unmounted walking during lessons.
- Wearing a certified riding hat or helmet is mandatory.
- While riding safe footwear should be worn: strong leather-soled shoes with a heel of up to 2 cms and chaps or riding boots are mandatory.
- During show jumping lessons a body protector is mandatory.
- Lunging in the indoor arena is only allowed if the paddock is not accessible or in bad weather conditions.
- During private lessons riding in the arena is allowed on condition that some consideration is shown for the rider who is being taught.
- When you want to use the arena or the circle in the evening please switch on the lights just before entering. Switch them off as soon as possible after leaving the arena.
- Watchers-on are not allowed to meddle with the teaching, give any unasked for instructions or advice in any way.
- All the ponies, horses and other animals should be treated respectfully. If there are any signs of abuse, molesting or mistreatment the molester will be denied access to the riding centre. The management decides about these cases.
Use of reception area/cafetaria
- aking refreshments or snacks from the cupboards or fridge is prohibited unless the staff gives you permission to do so.
- Juices and soft drinks should be noted down in the notebook on the counter.
- You are not allowed behind the counter unless given specific permission by staff.
- Please clear away all rubbish and wash the dishes after use.
SADDLE ROOM
- Users of the livery service can have one saddle case per horse.
- Make sure all used materials are in their right places after use. Your own gear and tack should be put in saddle case.
- Do not use other riders’ gear and tack without their permission.
- The saddle case must be 60 cm deep and 60 cm wide. The height is optional.
- The saddle case must be provided of a name tag including the name of the horse.
- If any articles are broken or damaged the owner should be content about the arrangement or compensation.
- A feed barrel may be placed in de saddle room but must be provided with a name tag.
- When everybody has left the arena and stables, the last rider locks the saddle room in order to prevent burglary. Switch off the lights, please, and lock the gate.
- We advise you to get insurance for your saddle.
- Together we keep the saddle room clean and neat. Carbage in the bin and belongings in your own saddle case.
- The livery room is exclusively accessible to owners of livery horses.
HOSING AREA
- Please sweep and tidy the hosing area.
- All dung can be put in the wheelbarrow. Do not sweep or hose it into the gutter. Hang the hose and spout in its proper place.
- If a pony or horse has to be hosed off, the rider has priority to do so over horses that have to be groomed or saddled. This holds true for all ponies and horses in the yard whether they are privately owned or in livery service.
IN GENERAL
- Incidents that lead to discontent should be made known to one of the managers.
- Any person who is guilty of gossip or calumny will be denied access to the riding centre. Everyone ought to feel safe and respected, and groom, train and ride their horse in their own manner.
- Management asks for your cooperation in creating an atmosphere in which everyone feels comfortable and happy.
- We would like to communicate with you about anything that is not covered by these rules. Our aim is to achieve a sportive and sociable riding centre, which is managed in a safe and responsible way.
